Why I Chose Liberty University

Liberty University is one of, if not the largest, Christian Universities in the world, and there was never a doubt in my mind that I wanted to attend college there. Growing up, I was adamant on going to a Christian college, and I never changed my mind.

My sister is six years older than me, and she decided to go to Liberty University. I remember going to the campus as a middle schooler, amazed at the campus, the athletics programs, and specifically their mission of training Champions for Christ. They prioritize spiritual growth and providing a good education, and thats exactly what I was looking for in a college.

My decision has not let me down, as I have met so many great people, learned so many new things, and experienced a lot of spiritual growth. All of the connections I have made, whether its with friends, professors, or co-workers, have been so genuine.

I feel more prepared than ever for my life beyond college, as Liberty has done such a great job equipping me for my future!

What has stood out to me most during my time at Liberty is the constant encouragement to grow—not just academically or professionally, but spiritually as well. The school has challenged me to think deeper about my faith and how it applies to every area of my life. From twice a week Convocation events to campus community once a week, I’ve been given countless opportunities to worship, serve, and lead.

The professors here are really passionate about what they are teaching and they strive to grow personal relationships with the students. They genuinely care about your success in and out of the classroom. Most of my professors pray at the start of each class, asking for students' needs and praying for them. That kind of support isn’t something you find at any university, and I’ve come to truly appreciate how intentional the professors are.

Liberty also offers a wide variety of academic programs, clubs, and extracurricular activities, which has helped me explore new interests and grow in different areas. Whether it’s attending a guest speaker event, getting involved with a student organization, or attending a football game, there’s always something happening that builds up the sense of community that Liberty is known for.

Another thing that has impacted me is how Liberty prepares students for real-world impact. It’s not just about earning a degree but it’s about learning how to live out your faith in whatever field you go into. I feel confident that I will leave here not only with a quality education, but also with the tools and spiritual grounding to face whatever comes next.

Looking back on my time so far, I know I made the right decision. Liberty University has helped shape me into a stronger, more confident, and faith-filled individual. I’m thankful for the experiences, the people, and the growth I’ve encountered here, and I’m excited to carry that with me into the future.
